Thankful Sunday

Well lets see...Lucas sat nicely through 45 minutes of church today! I could hardly believe it! He did so well! That is something to be thankful for! And the talks were really good too! WIN WIN!
I photo shot Adam for his "mugshot" for his applications.. then we uploaded to walmart and got wallets, and probably saved a boat load of money since they are like 15 for 2 in a store! I am thankful that Adam is a smart guy and he has a desire to do his best. I am thankful for his love. Me and the kids love him and miss him when he is in school, Allie cried today because she woke up from her nap and he was gone, (he had gone home teaching) So she came and snuggled me, she is a sweetie!
I am thankful for getting a Nap! I needed it! I am still totally tired! It was sweet to snuggle Allie she is a love. Allie is a great girl, she loves the Laurence Welk show... I have no idea why, it must be the grandpa in her! She always tells me the girls she likes. She is still determined that we are having a girl baby, I hope she is right only because she is going to be devastated if it is a boy!

I am thankful for a vacation coming and time with my family with no interruptions or other things to do. We are heading to Providence on Friday, we will be there till Monday. We got a great deal on a hotel and so it should be pretty fun! I am looking forward to seeing my long lost friend Jenn, and seeing the ocean again!

I hope you all have a lovely day!

Our friends are hoping to Adopt...

We have some fabulous friends who are looking to adopt, Rachel and Jeremy are searching for a birth mother. I am posting their link to their adoption profile. If you know anyone, or have any ideas, please feel free to share their profile with anyone who would be willing to help. Or if you happen to know a person who is looking into adoption share it with her. I don't think it matters where the mom is at so don't let distance get in the way! Thanks!

BUSY busy

I feel like I have been researching Pediatric Residencies for months... but the last few days have been pretty crazy, I have been trying to look into each on and get all the information that I can. So we can make sure everything is in line for applying. This is a seriously crazy process! My head is sore from it all, I am sure Adam's is worse!
We have a meeting in Providence on July 7th with the director of Pedi's there, so that should be interesting, and Boston doesn't want to see us in July so we may be going back in August just depends. Honestly I don't have a clue what we are doing I just hope it all works out!
Keep your fingers crossed for us and prayers too that we will get in just the right place, OF COURSE we won't find out about all this hard work till January, but hey better than with Dental school when all the hard works pay off didn't come till July! I will take January! Sadly I hope we don't get in at Boston, 3 bedrooms, I couldn't find anything below 1500! OUCH, and even worse those were like 3rd floor walk up dumps! Most of the other places had reasonable house and some had amazing full houses for about 1200, with yards! (who knows what a yard is but hey it sounds nice)
Anyway that is us now! Sounds fun huh? Not to mention summer here sucks it is going to rain or be rainy and cloudy all week, SUMMER! ha! right!Today's Allieism, I told her her uncle Ryan was going to school at a different school than daddy and his school taught him about how to run a business. Well she thought about that for a minute and then proclaims, I know how to run a business! She jumps up and starts running around the room, See mom I can run a business!
NICE Allie!

Just had to share this...

On KSL news site they have the following story, I was dying laughing... just imagining the 2 soldiers "scrambling to get out." I bet a billion dollars they had to change their pants! I know I would!

Air Force: Pilot error led to accidental strafing
June 25th, 2008 @ 10:51am

HILL AIR FORCE BASE, Utah (AP) -- Air Force investigators say an F-16 pilot misidentified a sport utility vehicle when he blasted it with a 20 mm cannon in April.

The Air Force says the pilot momentarily lost visual contact with a target while using night-vision goggles at the Utah Test and Training Range.

Moments later, he misidentified the parked SUV and hit it with rounds from the plane's cannon. It was about 1.5 miles away from the target.

Two soldiers inside the vehicle received minor injuries as they scrambled to get out.

The 388th Fighter Wing at Utah's Hill Air Force Base has taken administrative actions against the pilot, including a change in his qualifications. He's also been required to get more training.

The pilot's name was not released Wednesday.

This is the actual vehicle, you would wet yourselves too!

Not that I wanted too...

But my Sis Melissa asked how big my tummy was getting, I don't think it is really that bad, it hides pretty easy under loose shirts, and It just looks like I am getting a bit tubby, but here it is! I am pretty much 14 wks.

I am pretty much the same size as our cousin Elisa who is having Twins! I guess by the 3rd time round you just Pop...

Thankful Su-Monday

Well Yesterday was SO busy, it was a crazy day, So I never made it here though I thought about it!
We had church, and a new bishop, yeah! Then after church we headed down to Buffalo, to our friends little girls 1st birthday party! These guys are the best, they make the most incredible foods you could imagine and it is always a feast! I felt like I was going to pass out after they made me eat 2 servings of this Amazing Russian dessert that had honey, and chocolate, and some Russian pudding that is equivalent in my mind to sweetened condensed milk! WOW Rich! They said I am pregnant I have to eat for two... honestly I think I ate for about 6 yesterday! It was a blast they are some of the nicest people I have ever met they are so loving and always give you the biggest hug and kiss! I so wish I could speak Russian because I have No idea what they are saying and they feel the same way about us!
Well then the kids not having a nap and running and running with all the kids at the party, which there were TONS, promptly fell fast asleep by the time we left their street. This was at 6! We got home and put them to bed for the night, and believe it or not they didn't even wake up at 4:00am! They made it to 6:30, Not bad!
So I guess I am very thankful for my family, and for friends who treat us like family.
I am thankful that we have cell phones and email so we can stay in touch with family, and friends, I can't imagine if we all had to write letters, I am pretty good at it but I know most people are Not at all.
I am glad it is summer and the weather is hopefully going to stay nice from here on out.
I hope everyone has a great day!

Fun Friday

Taking advantage of the fact that it wasn't Raining Cats and Dogs, or Hail, we BBQ'd and the kids ate outside...It was really fun, and they love their new table with Lightning McQueen and Mater on it!

The head cook...The steaks were Fabulous! Yummy! And Adam is loving his new BBQ box, it is pretty cool!
While visiting with my mom, I raided my great Grandma's sewing machine drawers, I found tons and tons and tons of needles! I love these old things, the prices were great! The quality is wonderful, and the packaging is just cool! I am so excited to have these pieces of my family history. I don't know if I could Ever use that many needles! But I guess I will try!

just rambles..

Hey how is your day? It started off cold and yucky here but has ended up nicely, we went over to the library after Luke's nap and got a boat load of books and 2 movies...The kids actually did really well there, I really mean Luke cause Allie is almost always really good at the library~No kicking, screaming, tantrums, or any of the such! I was impressed! We were going to go to playgroup and pick strawberry's but it was cold and honestly I am the only one who eats strawberry's in this house so I decided better not. I think we are going to go on a bike ride when Adam gets home from tutoring, there is a bike path just up the road from us. I am trying to think of fun things to do this summer, since we will Actually be here for the summer...any good ideas? (preferably not in Canada) Well, I guess that is all, I told you it was rambling... but hey I feel weird today, what can I say!

Trained...

Update, lucky Allie her daddy is a good fixer!

You know your hubby is trained when he returns from a trip with jewelery....
mine is a stone that is mined there in DR...here is a quote about it..."It is one of the newest and rarest gemstones to have been discovered and catalogued. It only occurs in just one square kilometer of a remote mountain range in the Dominican Republic making it one of the rarest gemstones in the world"
Allie's is Coconut shells, it is cool... but as you can see she already broke it...OY.
