Kids in Costume....

On the way to our Trunk-R-Treat party at church....

Pumpkin Carving Fun

Ok I thought I would add this too, yesterday at my Doc appointment I LOST A POUND, though she made me feel really good by double checking because she could not believe it but whatever! Then my appointment was really fast so, ended up getting my shoes! YEAH! I was so excited, I wore them last night I think it is going to take a while to get used to... Also some fun friends Alexis, Tiffany and Eliza took me out to dessert for my birthday, which was really fun just to go and have some time to laugh...Thanks girls! It really made my day and that PeanutButter Mud thing was YUMMY! Adam isn't allowed to participate in this activity so we put him on Camera Duty...Those hands are too important to let him handle a knife....Luke the ham bone kept trying to blow out the candle in the pumpkin! Allie didn't want to touch the "slim" YUCK! Princesses can't be slim covered! Crazy kids!
Luke wanted to cut up that little one too!
Wow actually a good picture!

Had to throw this one in, (below) LOVE Allie's fake smile? She looks like she is in pain! And Below are our beloved friends the Adam's...I can't begin to tell you how very much we miss Brandon, (the rest of the family too but you never laugh like the way you laugh when Brandon is around....)
Also Happy Birthday to Katie Shepherd TODAY! We love you and miss you so much!
Hope your day IS GREAT!~!!!

Wednesday Confessions...

I confess....
I sneak sweets, not much just a little to hold me over, I am really trying to be good.
I hate Halloween, I love Fall but can't stand Halloween especially when it it stretched out over several days (ie. trunk or treat isn't on Halloween, and then I have to deal with going to the neighbors the next day too)
I even don't turn on my light, Not that it turns on anyway, or that we would get trick or treaters, but Hey don't tempt them right?
I really just want to cancel my Dr. appointment that I have today, I don't want to get yelled at for my "weight jump" they say that EVERY TIME and it is really annoying!
Not to mention I still haven't gone and done my blood test, so I am sure I am going to hear it for that to....

I really am not a trouble maker, i promise!

I really just want to go shoe shopping and FIND shoes I LIKE and FIT! Really? Is that too much to ask cause if it is, JUST let me know!

princess Allie (updated)

I made this tutu for Allie today, she loves it! She is going to wear it to Dance class tomorrow!

Today I got brave and ventured down to East Aurora To the Fisher Price factory store, by myself with my two kids...Amazingly it went well...But we did get a bit confused on the way there, but found it thankfully. Then we shopped and played, the kids had a BLAST! There were not many people there which was nice and one of the reason I went early, the other was because Amy requested I get her something there for Milan, Mostly all the stuff there is cheaper than you can get it in the store, so she got a 37 dollar dollhouse for 22 dollars! YEAH! Luke loved the bat and balls, and carried that around for a while till he saw the Cars, then those were discarded and he carried Mater around for a while, (I never actually saw him put it down but it did end up disappearing somewhere) They tried everything out, and had a blast playing with all the toys they see on TV. Since I am not buying those toys it was good for them mostly Allie to get to see them and play a bit! Luke then fell in love with a dinosaur, so that got put in the cart, and then he wanted the Blue Lightning McQueen, then we finally made our screaming exit! When we came it this lady looked at us and said Well your brave... Yup I agree! But Geez point it out much?!!? So as you can tell, Luke's Christmas and Birthday shopping is done, he got the dinosaur, the car, the ball and bat (now that is brave), a Cars puzzle, and a big Magna doodle, all of which was on discount except the Dinosaur but it was still cheaper than in the stores so I got it, he love love loved it! Allie got a birthday present, a set of the rubber princess dolls, Aurora, since she didn't have that one yet. We are going to wrap it today...I think she will be surprised what do you think?
The other good thing was the farther I went down the road away from Buffalo, the cheaper gas got, which I have to say is sooooo annoying, but I ended up getting gas for 3.13 instead of the 3.21 it is up the road from us. So bonus! Well that is my update! Hope you enjoyed it!

Grateful Monday

So at our place I have been thinking about being Grateful a lot lately, some days are just hard and I feel like maybe there really isn't much to be grateful for, but then I repent of that thought and realize how VERY much I am grateful for! So I try to list at least 3-4 in my head so I don't feel so bad anymore, and it is true we have TONS to be thankful for, I could technically list for hours! I am so glad I started doing thankful Sundays because at least once a week I am forced to list a few things...Even if I am feeling crumby! So along this line of thought I found this cute post on a blog I read called the Inspired Room Which is actually kinda a random place for such a thing to be, but hey I will take it because it is such a great thought. I also read this amazing article about the family who had that plane crash, which I have been following since then, and I can't believe it has been 2 months, it totally breaks my heart to think of that lovely mommy sleeping while her little ones are growing and changing, especially since their youngest just turned 2 in October, I think of Luke and how much he has changed and how much that sweet boy is missing of his momma and how much she is missing of him. But I am so thankful that she is still fighting and is doing so amazingly well! Every time I think about this family I am more grateful for mine and try a little harder to love them a little more. So back to the point...the Inspired Room blogger posted this list of 20 attitudes of gratitude, and I love them! I have already written my husband a love email note this morning, and plan to tell my kids at least 3-10 times today how much they are loved! Hugs are always in order in our house, and Luke and I have shared several already even this early in the day. Allie is still sleeping but the first thing I am going to do is hug her! Anyway I just wanted to share this list and hope that you can find some small ways like these to be more loving, and grateful of what you have and what is around you. It is much easier to pick and prod at the bad things around us, it is much easier to be negative than positive, but I promise you you will have a smile in your heart if you take the chance to change your thoughts and even in the most frustrating times be thankful, and speak kindly, and LOVE!

20 Little Attitudes of Gratitude
1. Mind your manners. Say please, thank you and excuse me.
2. Smile when you see your family. Turn your frown upside down.
3. Pick up after yourself.
4. Notice when others do kind things for you, show gratitude by action or words.
5. Say I love you before going to bed.
6. Give hugs daily.
7. Don’t worry about tomorrow. Focus on what you are happy about today.
8. Create gratitude journals to keep track of daily blessings.
9. Show thankfulness for even the little things others do for you.
10. Leave love notes in unexpected places like lunch boxes and under pillows.
11. Encourage someone with a compliment.
12. Verbalize what you are grateful for when you feel like complaining about life.
13. Keep a basket of small slips of paper on the table. Write notes of thankfulness during the week and read them to each other during a family meal.
14. Remember to thank God for blessings each day.
15. Surprise your family (or friends) with little gifts or treats to show you thought of them.
16. No grumbling about minor annoyances around the house.
17. Do special things to cherish time with your family. You never know what tomorrow will bring.
18. Reflect on happy memories regularly. Make inspiration boards of special times.
19. Help someone out without them having to ask you. Watch for someone in need.
20. When you are doing household chores, be grateful you have a home to clean.

I am thankful for Adam and all his hard work, and for letting me get out and go shopping on Saturday, I didn't get the things I needed but it was still crazy to be away from kids for that long!
I am thankful that it hasn't snowed yet...But don't worry it is supposed to snow Tue. and Wednesday.... FUN!

trains, snow, roadtrips, hotels OH my...

Well I forgot the camera, but Hey what can I do I can't remember everything...So we will entertain you with Photobooth photos... we had to keep occupied while Adam was at his dinner.
So Adam had his interview, It went well, good practice and all that, the guy liked him and told him so which is good. Toledo is a pretty nice town, we liked it. All night thought sleeping was minamal, we got to hear a train honk all night which was comforting... reminded us of Kaysville days. Luke fell off the bed in the middle of the night and then had to sleep with me.. FUN...We stayed at the "Hilton" so it was actually pretty darn nice, and clean as a hotel gets...No black feet. Adam was back up at the crack of dawn and so were the kids, so then we hear it snowed here in Buffalo, Not Fun! Yuck actually... SO not ready for that... Ride home was fine just a bit whiny with two tired kids, but they love to travel for the most part. Kids were happy as clams to eat chicken nuggets. I also bought the "girls" (Allie and baby) matching dresses from Walmart,Also My Best buddy Heather had her baby today!!! YEAH!! Piper Jane was 6lb 10oz, 20 in. I am sure she is Adorable! I love her name, Allie is totally happy and can't wait to meet Rylee's baby sister! Congratulations Heather!! (and family) Well that is about it... Hope you aren't as tired as me...

Thankful Sunday

* I am thankful that the Primary Program is almost over though I have enjoyed not having to teach, it hasn't been enjoyable to sit with 2-4 wiggle worm, bored 3 yr olds... and I am a bored teacher too.. So that doesn't help.
*I am thankful we have started and maintained a family scripture study session each night for a FULL week, (Ok we missed one night but I got it in the morning)
*I am thankful Adam's interview here at Buffalo went well, it was good practice and I think he felt better seeing other people interviewing who were worried, because they only had heard from 2 places...(and they were in private practice!) Way to go Adam!
*I am thankful that it isn't too cold yet, and that the sunshine is still out there, and my curtains are close to done, (I bought my buttons so I need to make my loops, then just sew them up.)
*I am again thankful for my kids love of books, it is just the coolest thing to see them sucked into being read to even as much as Dora on TV... That is just cool to me!
*I am thankful for Chocolate, I am trying hard not to eat any right now, and let me tell you it is HARD, I think I am a serious sweet tooth, and I don't think I realized it till now...So I am very thankful for Chocolate, YUMMY I will see you again my long lost friend, and it won't be a day too soon!

Yesterdays project...

Allie and I made these babies yesterday, and they are so cute!
I love snowmen anyway, and so this is a love love situation, easy to make, cute as buttons!
I found the easiest way to do it was to let her paint the back of the marble with the Mod podge stuff and then stick it directly on whatever she liked, and then cut it out...we used catalogs, and an envelope I have with snowmen on it.
Allie is also working on a hat...
Luke is working on memorizing all the Wonder Pet shows, he love them!
He sings " Saves the day" all the time!
Today we went to my Friend Heather's baby shower, it was fun there were TONS of people there, and the Food was well I have to say that the food was Unbelievable, and I ate WAY WAY too much! there was this french bread with cheesy stuff on it that probably should be outlawed, I had about 10 pieces of it...I will probably regret it in 2 wks when they tell me about my weight jump at my doctors appointment! but You know what I don't care!
Adam had his interview today here at Buffalo, so hopefully that went really well, and tomorrow I need to get some things done that have been put off for way to long like go get diaper wipes, and tomatoes and shoes, and well you know how those lists go!

Happy Birthday Chantel

Dear Chantel,

Thank you for all that you are in our family. Thank you for all that you are to me. I want to wish you a happy birthday. I know how much you love your birthday. Thank you for all that you do. You do so much for me and the children. All three of them! Thanks for supporting me through the crazy years of schooling. My prayer is that all of our efforts will provide for us a life where we are free from the cares of the world so we will always be able to put each other and our family first.
You have two cute children who I Love so much and will always be in debt to you for bringing them to this life for us. Again I Love you and wish you a happy birthday. You are the rock in my life.

Love Adam.

Today is my birthday...

So I hope you all have a Fabulous day with me!

Thankful Sunday

Well no picture again this week, slacker I know, but look below there are lots...
~Anyway I am thankful we had so much fun family time this weekend, Allie always prays, and we love to play and have fun, and it is true, I love to have fun with our family. I am blessed to have such great kids!
~I am thankful that I can try harder to be better, and that I am choosing Not to be miserable but to take hold of my choices and make ones that I enjoy and learn from. Like tonight, I was going to make sloppy joes, I know I had at least 1 can of that sauce in the basement, I remember buying like 2 cans at Walmart cause they were on sale, and I though Oh good deal and something good to have around the house, I honestly can't remember eating them for ages, and so those cans should be here but guess what they are gone...So I sat here and thought well I can make something else what though?? nothing was coming to my mind, and then I thought to myself HEY you are smart, you can do this! So I got out the meat and cut up some onion, and thought Hmm, I have frozen peppers, and plenty of spices... I got that started and told Adam to grab me some spices, so we whipped up a concoction and you know what it was DANG good! I was so proud of myself for not giving up! It was a You can do these things Nemo moment!
~I am thankful for a smarty pants hubby who now has 7 interviews, he got another in Indiana on Friday. Way to go! But I do worry about him flying all around the country and trying to get school stuff done and be part of our family while I am hugely pregnant...But I am sure it will all work out! I am also thankful that he loves me and that he is willing to work with me to make things better and to learn to love each other more!
~I am thankful my blood work is done now and when I go to the Doctors on Wednesday that they won't be able to yell at me anymore about it! And hopefully I won't have gained anymore weight so they won't be able to yell about that either...They just love to give you a hard time... Well at least me.
~I am thankful for a sweet grandmother my Meme, Today is her birthday, and I know she isn't doing anything exciting but I hope she has a great day anyway, and I hope that she knows that I love her! Happy Birthday Meme!

Fall in Ellicottsville

Today we headed down to Ellicottsville, it is a cute little ski town south of us. ( I love the church above it is so quaint)They have a fall festival every year, they have a few kiddie rides but mostly just vendors selling stuff, but it was fun to get out and see all the fall colors which were pretty amazing! We had a very fun day and then ended the day watching the BYU game with the Harkers, and of course BYU won! Yeah! We collected leaves which was great and little did I know till I got home it was the Christmas challenge for today! So we had a success! We sure celebrated fall!

Amazing colors!
Brave Allie she was nervous but I was so proud of how brave she was!Adam and Allie on the big slide
