Gingerbread house

Well Since Adam is gone off to Utah to find our new Home Sweet Home, I had to get the kids to make a mess for a good cause rather than just general destruction....
So we ran to Wegmans and I dropped the big kids off in the playplace and went shopping for Gingerbread candy, and the house and frosting supplies! (I love you forever Wegmans)

Well we got home got the frosting made, and put up the walls...Then I MADE the kids eat dinner while it set up. mean Mom...

Then we got the roof on and set out to make it pretty, or well decorated at least! We had a lot of fun, there where some close calls where Phoebe just wanted to eat the whole thing... but over all it went well..

Going Dutch, for more presents...

Well Allie learned about St.Nicholas eve, the Dutch Tradition of putting your shoes by the fireplace to get more presents! Well Of course it was on a Sunday and I had NO idea that at 8pm she was going to decide to tell me she expected to follow this tradition...
So as it turns out the newest member of our family Max the Elf cam throuhg for us.. He showed up and brought the kids a movie... Polar Express...

This is Max, he is our Shelf Elf...Have you heard of them, they are how Santa Really knows if kids are Naughty or nice...
This is the kids talking to Max about what they want for Christmas...It was pretty cute! They are always saying Max saw that Your on the Naughty list!
