The kids where all in the basement playing the other day and after sometime they came up... but then I realized Phoebe didn't come up... being busy, I didn't think too much about it... but after I finished dinner prep, I went down to check on her...
Silly Phoebe!  She Loves her some Dora!
Above is just more silly Phoebe, and below is Momma's booboo-ouch...I had a million grocery bags on the floor yesterday and went to step over one and got my foot caught and landed on the corner of a box... it is NOT feeling awesome...all swollen, and I am limping!  OY Veh!  Good one Mom!

Sometimes life is crazy...

Well, I had a Huge post typed up, and well you know I copied it and then forgot and then copied something else! Gone!

I will try to think of what I had written, but since the feeling is passed... Well you know

We have been in Cleveland since Sunday, the kids and I took my friend Penny down right after church, I taught the lesson in Relief Society, (woman's Sunday school) And Adam was at a different ward talking for his calling as Stake Sunday school president. We stopped in at Kirtland and then, went to a Very cool park called Prestons Hope...Probably the coolest park there is! Kids Loved it! And it was Huge! The next day we went to the Zoo, and saw cool Dinosaurs...But my favorite part was the Butterfly house...It was like being in a fairy tale!

But honestly I am Very much ready for fall...I am ready for schedules again! For squash, for pumpkins! I am excited to see what color the Mum in my yard is going to be, I had bought two very cheap mum's last fall and planted them and only one made it through the winter, so I can't wait to see if it is Orange or Red!
I am just loving this sweet "Chantel" weather, lovely breeze, good sleeping, no humidity, still sunny! Well these word are more rambled than the original.. but the point is the same...give or take...So anyway enjoy the pictures... (I didn't take a camera to Cleveland, I had my hands full as it was)

Silly Bandz Much? Seriously! Luke has a few too! Geez!
Luke and his NEW, Old, Super fast bike! We had to get him another bike since he literally wore the other ones tire bald and popped a hole in it! This new bike was $3, cheaper than trying to replace a tire! Hope it gets us through the rest of the year!

See that spider web in the tree, it was so pretty wish I had a better zoom lens, it was so cool! You should be able to click and make the image better to see it...

What a beauty! This one She is a Love
I don't know how he manages it but I think I could make a whole picture book of Luke and his funny sleeping positions! Actually that would be a fun idea! See his Cheese! haha
My Sweet Allie girl! I can't believe how big she is getting! Can you believe she will be 7 this year? Crazy!

Time out for women....

http://deseretbook.com/images/speakers/86/Chieko_Okazaki.jpgChieko Okazaki was kinda the reason we ended up in Toronto for Time out for women...My friend really wanted to hear her talk and well let me say I thought she was well worth crossing the Canadian boarder for. Though Of course I made Heather drive. Sorry Heather...But thank you I have boarder Issues ever since the Jelly incident. But we won't talk about that. Plus as it turns out Heather has one of those innocent faces and Boarder people seem to just love her!
As for Time Out, I could have probably lived without the music. Honestly Micheal McLean kinda drives me nuts...Sorry Micheal loves... I think he can speak and tell good stories but some of his Hokey songs just push me over the edge of reason.

And Mark Mabry also wasn't really my favorite, his pictures kinda freak me out and he really wasn't that great of a "talker". So I checked out the books during his talk Sorry Fans of his.

The next day I had loosened up a bit and felt more able to laugh with a big group of Canadians, Even though Tim Hortons doesn't take anything but Master Card, which I still think is dumb...They take American currency though.. Go figure!
Mercy River, was the musical Talent for the day, and although they surely could sing better than Micheal, They still kinda annoyed me. Mostly the times when the tried Monologue-ing . Just stick to singing girls! Side note is that the Blonde chick lived next to Adam and his family and according to Julie she had a crush on Adam. But Alas it wasn't meant to be and Adam had no idea anyway! But I went up and met her and she was very nice and even claimed to have heard that Adam was now a dentist and was impressed at our having 3 children. I did like some of their song though Hello Sunshine is a favorite and I think it fits nicely here in Buffalo.
Brad Wilcox was my favorite speaker of the day, His talk was so powerful to me, I felt like it was equally enlightening, and uplifting. I just loved it! I can't even begin to summarize what he said but it was Lovely.
Mariama Kallon wasn't there in real life, but they had a taped talk from her, and I have to say I was so amazed by what this woman has been through, She made me remember how Very blessed we all are and how for the most part our trials are really not that bad, she was Raised in war-torn Sierra Leone, she witnessed the violent murders of parents and siblings and spending her youth fleeing from rebels, and I am talking her brothers hands were cut off and her sister raped and her arms and legs cut off...Seriously! Her happy face would never let on to the awful things she lived. Sure makes me want to do better!
And although the other speakers were good, the only other one that really stuck out to me was Emily Watts. She talked about Mother Hope, and one was Hope that our children will progress, and with small children that is a Hope I cling to like glue! She was a sweet lady and I enjoyed her talk a lot too!

Over all it was Super fun, and uplifting. I enjoyed getting away, and probably could have used one more day, but it was an awesome experience. I am thankful for Adam watching the kids and for Heather driving up with me. And making me go for that matter! I can't wait till next year, I am planning to go again, just Not to Canada, and making one more day of it! haha

My hair... boo hoo

I have wanted to get my hair cut for a long while now, and so last night was the night...Well it didn't go as I had planned...But I guess I need to do what Joseph B. Wirthlin's Momma told him to do...Come what may and Love it! Hopefully I will figure it out...Problem is A. the bangs are too short/choppy... and it is way to trendy for my lazy ways, it sucks into my head I feel bald because my hair is So thick normally... Not so much now...

So today I curled it and I like it much better this way but it was so much work! Hopefully I will find medium ground...Soon!

Happy my birthday!

It was a lovely day, a few friends came over and brought me lunch and a Wegmans creme pie. Then a different friend offered to watch our kids, and so Adam took me out to dinner at our favorite Mexican place which was So yummy as always! And we went and got Phoebe a Tootsie Roll costume for Halloween, (Allie decided that is what P. needs to be) Then Carters was having a great sale so I ran over there and got Luke a pair of PJ's for Christmas, I had already gotten the girls matching ones in the spring. Adam got me a new Yankee candle in Cinnamon stick, and a new set of nice flannel sheets! I am so excited for those, I love snuggly sheets!
My mom got me some LLBean Slippers, which with our hardwood floors are sooooo nice and warm! (wearing them now) My in laws got me a Lion House Cookbook... which is a great bakery in UT.
So it was a fabulous day, It was nice to spend time with Just my husband with out kids. And I even got to read my book for a few minutes. What more can a momma want!

My project... New headboard

After realizing way to late I forgot to take a Before picture... I had to hunt for a picture from before... this was years ago.. so look past those cute kids and that was Before....
So I was totally inspired by Jodi at Simply This that and the other's end table project, and I went and bought my first can of spray paint.

Step 1 was a coat of Black Primer....Which was Very hard for me to find...3 stores later and Voila:

Step 2, White Satin coat, But a mystery to me I started to get this Blistering popping up... Then came the big problem, it was running and so I stupidly Touched it.... NEVER TOUCH SPRAY PAINT! EVER! So I thought I fixed it then it blistered bad, so I just pulled it off, sanded it, and started over in that spot. It still looks badish, but then I just really distressed that area so it looked like something whacked it or something... and it is OK...So Step 3 was destress, which was less stressful than I had imagined...And here it is in my room....(don't judge me by that wallpaper boarder, it is a rental See below)
From something Free, that I really didn't like, to something I actually am loving...for about $10, I am thrilled! I admit it was kinda scary spay painting it, especially when the blisters popped up, but the small blisters actually look kinda cool now, and I persevered and I am Totally happy! My favorite part?
