Gingerbread house

Well Since Adam is gone off to Utah to find our new Home Sweet Home, I had to get the kids to make a mess for a good cause rather than just general destruction....
So we ran to Wegmans and I dropped the big kids off in the playplace and went shopping for Gingerbread candy, and the house and frosting supplies! (I love you forever Wegmans)

Well we got home got the frosting made, and put up the walls...Then I MADE the kids eat dinner while it set up. mean Mom...

Then we got the roof on and set out to make it pretty, or well decorated at least! We had a lot of fun, there where some close calls where Phoebe just wanted to eat the whole thing... but over all it went well..

Summer lovin'

Wow, All three kids in the same picture... Sorta happy to have their picture taken? (we won't mention wearing Odd outfits) That is everything a Photography Momma could ask for...Truth is I was actually just going to take a picture of the chair they are sitting on which is my newest project, $1 at a garage sale...So cute! But hey when kids do cute stuff like this what am I to do.. So I told Allie to take off that hat and of course Phoebe was done and Luke hid under the chair...
I guess it couldn't last forever right? But this is a sweet shot... Love these kids!

Just another example of Lukes crazy sleeping arrangements....

A few busy projects...

Some Turtle pancakes for Turtley! Luke couldn't eat the pancake turtles
head so we reserved that part...

I got this lamp for $5 at a yard-sale, and I hated the Gold part and although I could have probably lived with it for 97 cents for some spray-paint I just made it look lots better and more live-able...Even though I couldn't take it apart to get that inside bit... still looks lots better to my eyes...

Adam's headlights were really bad, and he found a Turtle wax product that made them like new again for like 9 bucks instead of Hundreds! Now he can actually see at night! Makes me feel better! Although he probably should have done it Ages ago!

Fun Family Home Evening....

Last night we had Family Home Evening with some good friends and this is what I did... We talked about Faith being like a Seed, and how it can grow over time with help just like a real seed. We read in the scriptures about Faith the size of a seed... and we planted some seeds and talked about water soil and sun being so important for the seeds, then I had printed out pictures of all the kids and made Trees for the boys and flowers for my girls... They Loved the easy craft and they are pretty cute if I do say so myself!

2 days 3 Gingerbread houses!

I have never made Gingerbread houses before and in 2 days I have made 3! One of my own, and 2 with the kids. (Mostly Allie, Though Luke helped clean up the icing, with his mouth!) We had a fun time of it, and I am sure we will keep it up in the years to come. Though I have no idea what to do with the sugar creations now...They get kinda messy as Luke keeps picking away at them!

These are the houses the kids helped with The one below kept trying to fall apart on us so we had to put Triskets under the roof to hold it up!

Above is my house I made without kid help I am sure you can tell! haha

And here is your Dose of the Cuteness for the day....
She loves scarves!

Just stuff...

Well at my pregnant belly is expanding and the due date is sneaking up way too fast I have totally been a slacker... but this was too cute and too easy to pass up....Petit Debutant shows easy instructions to make these cute profiles...I don't have a scanner to I colored mine in and took a second picture of it...So it would most likely be better if you do it the right way but I still think it is Dang cute! I messed around with is I like the blue color for contrast it is cute. But the black and white is adorable too! By the way Allie's hair is SO much longer than that but it wouldn't fit in the picture so we gave her a "haircut".
Had a doc appointment today, went well. Progression is being made, so that is good. Adam is leaving again tomorrow and will be back Friday at 10pm. So fair game after that! Now I need to see if I can get Luke to stand still long enough to get a profile picture! Wish me luck.

Things I have done....(Thankful Sunday)

Well first off I have been hanging out with this Handsome devil! My boy is dang cute! He is such a love! I am thankful for this time to be with just him. Tomorrow we plan to go to the library, and guess what ? It snowed here so some playing in the snow is on the plate now too!
Made this skirt for Allie, I have had this fabric for a while but hadn't gotten around to it till now, what a pain in the butt that fabric is, it frays and frays, I cut it with pinking shears and still fray! Glad that is done! I think it is pretty cute!
also made a new freezer pack for my eyes, really Mostly Adam uses it for his head and the kids for ouchies but hey whatever! I love love love this fabric by the way...
Yup and I finished this bag, and realized that it is totally screwed up... well I knew that to begin with but I thought it only had one problem, now I realize it has two the handles are on the wrong side...DUH Oh well it will work for a church bag or whatever!
Fixed up our thankful turkey on the wall, I think he is pretty cute!
My sweeties are coming home tomorrow night, I am so excited, I miss them so much! The house is way too quiet without them! I am sooo thankful for my family, for my warm bed with Adam in it, too cold with out him! I am thankful he wasn't here last night though cause I was up most of the night with my cold and couldn't breath! It was fun to get so many crafts done in one day, I need to do that more often! What else can I make??????

Thanksgiving crafts...

Well thank heaven Halloween is over! Now I get to move on to more fun things! So here are my Thanksgiving craft ideas for you....
Well I wanted to share some cute Thanksgiving craft ideas...The first is the Thankful Turkey, this one I love and I am totally doing it this year! There are several different patterns out there if you google it but here are my 2 favorites... the first Is really cute Both look easy but if you don't want to print just use this one from Make and Takes... I love the idea of writing something we are thankful for on the feathers, plus it is just dang cute! Fun way to lead into the spirit of Christmas, and being thankful for the things we have, and for each other as a family.

The second thing I wanted to share is the same thing we did last year, but I love it too and it is so cute! Hand and Foot Turkeys...so cute to see how they have grown... One tip on this it says to outline their feet but since Little ones like Luke LOVE to move too much I just used his shoes...Easier, much easier! Below is our Last years version...

princess Allie (updated)

I made this tutu for Allie today, she loves it! She is going to wear it to Dance class tomorrow!

Today I got brave and ventured down to East Aurora To the Fisher Price factory store, by myself with my two kids...Amazingly it went well...But we did get a bit confused on the way there, but found it thankfully. Then we shopped and played, the kids had a BLAST! There were not many people there which was nice and one of the reason I went early, the other was because Amy requested I get her something there for Milan, Mostly all the stuff there is cheaper than you can get it in the store, so she got a 37 dollar dollhouse for 22 dollars! YEAH! Luke loved the bat and balls, and carried that around for a while till he saw the Cars, then those were discarded and he carried Mater around for a while, (I never actually saw him put it down but it did end up disappearing somewhere) They tried everything out, and had a blast playing with all the toys they see on TV. Since I am not buying those toys it was good for them mostly Allie to get to see them and play a bit! Luke then fell in love with a dinosaur, so that got put in the cart, and then he wanted the Blue Lightning McQueen, then we finally made our screaming exit! When we came it this lady looked at us and said Well your brave... Yup I agree! But Geez point it out much?!!? So as you can tell, Luke's Christmas and Birthday shopping is done, he got the dinosaur, the car, the ball and bat (now that is brave), a Cars puzzle, and a big Magna doodle, all of which was on discount except the Dinosaur but it was still cheaper than in the stores so I got it, he love love loved it! Allie got a birthday present, a set of the rubber princess dolls, Aurora, since she didn't have that one yet. We are going to wrap it today...I think she will be surprised what do you think?
The other good thing was the farther I went down the road away from Buffalo, the cheaper gas got, which I have to say is sooooo annoying, but I ended up getting gas for 3.13 instead of the 3.21 it is up the road from us. So bonus! Well that is my update! Hope you enjoyed it!
