Happy Pioneer Day Utahns

Well I am missing Pioneer day as the fam is getting together in Utah at Melissa's place. But I guess we are stuck in NY, and I guess Luke will be happy that there are not any fireworks here tonight.
So in honor of Pioneer day here is a pioneer story that is cool and we have been to the place...
Hole In the Rock....This is Allie and I enjoying the view... can you believe how little she was?The marker for the site, that is now covered with Lake Powell...
The "hole" in the rock that the wagons came down, pretty scary if you ask me!

Here is the story from Mormon Times

Fun Friday

Taking advantage of the fact that it wasn't Raining Cats and Dogs, or Hail, we BBQ'd and the kids ate outside...It was really fun, and they love their new table with Lightning McQueen and Mater on it!

The head cook...The steaks were Fabulous! Yummy! And Adam is loving his new BBQ box, it is pretty cool!
While visiting with my mom, I raided my great Grandma's sewing machine drawers, I found tons and tons and tons of needles! I love these old things, the prices were great! The quality is wonderful, and the packaging is just cool! I am so excited to have these pieces of my family history. I don't know if I could Ever use that many needles! But I guess I will try!

Mothers Day....

Well just wanted to say I love my momma! And my meme, and maw. I am also blessed with a mother in law who loves me and that is lucky!
I love you all! My kids love all their grandma's too!
My mom above my meme below...Annette (Adam's Momma)
Below is a picture of Meme (my grandma) and her mom "Maw" and her sisters

Here is Maw and Lucas
This is the day after I became a Mom, Thank you Allie for being a great daughter! I am blessed to be a mother, I have two great kids and Surprise one on the way, Yup I will become a mother again in December.
So I just want to say that I love all the great mom's who put their heart in to being a mom, and for your examples to the rest of the world. A mothers work is important and hard, and fun, and probably the most under appreciated job that is out there... I love being a mother and I am thankful for the chance I have had to grow and learn from my kids. Allie and Lucas, I love you so much! Thanks for being great kids and letting me be your mom!

Thankful Sunday

1. Being NOT sick! It is so nice to have everyone back to good health.
2. Good nights of sleep.
3. Libraries, so many books to rent for free, movies too. We take Allie over to a story time/craft time for preschoolers, it is fabulous! One of the most redeeming qualities of the Western NY area.
4. George Washington, I have been reading a biography of his, he was an amazing man. It is neat to read about him now that I have been to his house and see the areas he lived in.
AND of course no post would be complete with out...The cutest kids I've ever had! I am thankful for good kids, a bit crazy, but they are amazing!
I am thankful for the things they teach me and for the opportunities I have to teach them. Adam and I are in awe of how quickly they learn. Adam I am thankful for you too, You are a great blessing in my life, I don't know what I would do without you, be bored I guess!
