Luke's new trick

Well this morning was the cutest thing ever. Adam was leaving for school, and Luke was sitting on the bed with me and Adam waved at us and said bye bye, Luke picked up his hand and waved back, and Said Dada! It was so cute! It was probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen!
Adam Loved it! Luke can only say Dada, and will not say Mama at all won't even try everytime he says Dada I say now say Mama, and he looks at me and says Dada! Brat!

Anyway this picture is to prove that Luke does indeed have hair! Quite a bit actually!

Home sweet Scaffolding

My new hair cut, I love it, It drys fast and looks nice! Thanks to my hairdresser and sister in law, Melissa! I love it!Scaffolding Sweet Scaffolding! This is what we came home too! Crazy people.

Look what I saw out my window! YUCK! Yes that is a big man sitting on the scaffolding, looking in my bedroom!

President James E. Faust

President Faust is probably my second most favorite speaker! I just love him, he is like a grandpa to the world. His talks have touched my heart several times. I know God will bless his family in their time of sorrow. Click here for one of my favorite talks from President Faust, This talk is for parents, and it came at just the right time for me. I truly felt like he was teaching me and telling me it would all be Ok. I am very thankful for this good man and his great service and sacrifice for the work of the Lord.

President James E. Faust, second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, died at his home early this morning surrounded by his family.

President Faust, 87, had served in the First Presidency since 1995 and as a General Authority of the Church for 35 years. A Church statement today said that President Faust had died of “causes incident to age.”

President Faust was appointed second counselor in the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 12 March 1995. The First Presidency is the highest presiding body in the government of the Church.

Bruce Olsen, managing director of Church Public Affairs, said this morning that President Faust’s “gentle manner and depth of knowledge, which was an important part of his ministry for nearly 35 years, will be missed.”

“He was a true Christian who spoke and wrote with wit and wisdom,” Olsen said. “Many members of the Church loved his unique way of teaching the restored gospel of Jesus Christ at General Conference.”

President Faust was born 31 July 1920, in Delta, Utah. He began the practice of law in Salt Lake City and continued until his appointment as a general authority of the Church in 1972. Married to the former Ruth Wright of Salt Lake City, they are the parents of five children: James H. Faust, Janna R. Coombs, Marcus G. Faust, Lisa A. Smith, and Robert P. Faust. They have 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren

Viva Las Vegas!

We also made a impromptu trip to Las Vegas, I had never been there and so it sounded like fun! We got there really late at night and we checked into our hotel. The Monte Carlo, and then walked down to the Water show at the Bellagio It was so HOT, and the water show was awesome! It was about 1:30am, it was 100 degrees out! The next day it was 105! YIKES it was soooo hot! I wish we had more time to be there and look at the cool stuff but I guess we will just have to come back some other time. Also I didn't bring my camera out with us that night so Jessie took pictures and so it will be a while before I have pictures from that night. It makes me want to watch Oceans 11 again! It was fun!

The view from our window. There is an amazing amount of construction going on there. Our hotel the Monte Carlo, we got really cheap rooms for $79 which if there was something cool going on in town would go for like $300.

Luke super happy even though he was up all night!
Ready to cruise the Strip!
