Thankful Monday

OK Well here it my big update, and I am thankful for all of these things, and after watching last nights Extreme Makeover Home edition Buffalo last night I am also adding that I am so thankful for running water that is Hot or Cold, and for living in a nice home, in a safe area, for my car and food, and for a husband who works hard for us. And for my shoes, I have a lot of pairs and that is a blessing I have taken for granted! I am thankful for happy healthy kids and for family that loves us and we love!
Well on to the pictures... My Momma has a talented friend who made us girls all these cute matching hats... I had found this Cute pattern that is based on the hat Hermione wore in the new Harry Potter movie....

Saturday it was SUNNY, and almost 50 degrees outside so we soaked it all up, riding bikes and cleaned out and vacumed the van. Today it is foggy and rainy, 0% chance of sun... So I am sad but Thankful for the 2 lovely sunny days we had!

Made me some stinkin' cute heart garland...I think it came out totally cute, I made the lines wigglie when I sewed it instead of just straight across which I think gives it some serious personallity!
Just had to she is a ham!

Sweet Sisters they matched on Sunday! So cute!
Dad and son in their Matching hats! Luke was NOT thrilled but whatever!
And... It was Beyond time for a new purse...Thank you Target for filling that need...I really wanted this one
Product Image Merona® Hobo - Black/White And PS, today is Match day! Don't remeber what that is well last year it went a little like this for us...Can't believe it has been a year! So glad it doesn't matter this year!

It sure pays to have Talented friends!

My friend Jessie made the kids these Super Cute hats! Oh How I love them, I wish my kids would never out grow them! The BYU Hat is amazing! Luke LOVES having a hat that matches his Daddy!
Allie's is adorable, and the little flower comes off and you can use it as just a clippy, Super cute! I am glad her head won't grow for a while and she can wear this hat for a few years
(fingers crossed!)
Phoebe, well seriously look at it! ADORABLE! The little ears are Super cute!

And it was 38 today and Completely sunny...So the citizens of the Buffalo area thought it must be spring...There were like 200 cars at the carwash, lots of people picked up their kids from school and walked home, and my kids thought it was good weather for racking and jumping in leaves... No not so much! But it sure was a lot warmer than it has been! So we will take it and the Sun was LOVELY! The kids also had fun finding deer Pooh in our yard...Allie wanted to cover it up with snow.

Getting ready for Love Month...

Sometimes the only way to get the Christmas stuff down is to promise to cut out a million hearts and decorate for the next winter holiday... Not to mention when you are trapped in the house with Long Long winters, you have to do something to spice up life! The "Million" hearts above are hopefully going to be sewn together to make a cute garland soon!
On our recent Pittsburgh we stopped in at Ikea and I picked up these Very cute planters for 1.99 and though in spring I hope to plant Basil and Chives in them for now they make pretty holders for some MORE hearts!
And we hung some hearts from our light fixture too... they make the kids So happy!
So that is what We have been up to! What do you do to make it though Long winters?

Pittsburgh Sans Kiddies!

Four hours or a little less down the road is Pittsburgh...What a difference it makes... Alas.. Is that SUN on that building? why yes it is! Today it was a balmy 58 at it's high, meaning I walked into a store with no hat, mittens, boots, Jacket! and I didn't freeze! Seriously...I also had a little bit if a tan too I think, I saw more sun today than I have since September!

We stayed at the Omni William Penn Hotel...it is pretty fancy.. And we got a deal on Price Line! LOVE IT!
So we started off the day meeting up with Yousef (fellow pedo resident) who was also visting his old stopping grounds from his dental school days... he took us out to breakfast at a fun place called Crepes Parisiennes... YUMMY! I had a tomato and cheese Crepe, it was great! Gotta learn to make those...
Then we got lost in some Tunnels...but ended up on top of Mount Washington, which over looks the whole city and all the rivers and bridges, which there are TONS! It was lovely, and I think deserves for us to return when the weather is warming and the grass is greener cause I think it would be even more lovely then! And there is so much to do we couldn't even Touch! I look nervous in the picture below because the guy who took our picture kept backing up and backing up and I was thinking he was going to make a run for it ! HaHa...Thankfully he didn't!
This was a house on Mt. Washington overlooking the city, it was so pretty, I would love it!

See Lots of bridges, and river...above is this cool park right downtown that used to be a fort and blockhouse in the 1700's, I want to check it out in the spring...Downtown... fun!
The view from our room at night..

Thankful Monday...shoulda been Sunday

Well Time to get back to being Thankful!

I have no idea if anyone noticed that my Thankful Sunday posts dissipated last one was in July...Seriously I have been thankful since July, just haven't always been here at the right time to write about it...And I admit some days I have been an unthankful selfish rotten person...Probably more than I should have been...
So Off with that coat, back to being Grateful and humble... (I hope!)
So lets see, I am thankful really for mostly the same things as always, but in light of some events that I have been aware of in the last little while...I am even more grateful for my Children being Happy, Healthy, and Alive, Active, Functioning children. Seriously, there are people out there suffering and I am taking for granted the fact I am Completely Blessed...Well I am expressing my gratitude now. We have been sick on and off since September, as I am sure most of you have been too... it gets wearing but I am not visiting the hospital to take care of my children...So I am ok with that.
I am thankful for a Dr Husband...When I panic about fever/vomit/illness, he is always there to tell me that really it is ok and this is what we need to do. Ahh, thanks honey! So nice to have someone level headed at those moments.
I am thankful for my extended family. I have a great friendship with my momma who I love, that is a great blessing...I am also blessed to be friend with my Sisters in law, who are actually really just my sisters... I realize that most people don't have that... But I do and I know I am blessed. Thanks ladies for loving me even though I am crazy...
I have great in-laws who gave me the best husband, and love me like a daughter too.

Adam...This guy deals with my in all my craziness, weaknesses, failings...and he has to eat my food experiments on top of all that...This guy is amazing! I am thankful for time now to be able to get back to laughing with him, instead of worrying about school and match... thankfully we made it through most of that hard stuff, and now can just worry about easier things...

I am thankful for Facebook... No not for sucking my time away which it does too... but for reconnecting old friends so easy... ie. We went to a marriage class at church... low and behold found out that 2 couples at the table happened to know each other from college... and then they mention the name of a 3 friend they both knew who happened to be one of my old best friends Amy...who I sadly had lost track of...Well turns out one of them is facebook friends with her... OK so now I am she sends me her phone number and I call... instantly I am transported back 8 years and I have my best friend back just like that! Seriously... THANK YOU FACEBOOK!
Don't you love talking to a long lost friend and it is like Nothing has happened since you last spoke? It is the best, I look forward to keeping up with Amy and Aaron from now on!

Last and certainly not least... I am thankful for the Lord and the Spirit of God. I have been comforted, and encouraged, and loved, and pushed along. I have melted down and felt like "All is lost, we are all steak" (Madagascar) And been prompted to kneel down and pray, and then giving so much love and encouragement that I can actually make it through the day that there is no doubt that the Lord Knows and Love me Chantel... It is amazing and I am immeasurably thankful for that love.

Once there was a snowman...

Well what kind of parents would we be without making a snowman...Ours is "green" haha since he is made out of recycled snow shoved into recycling bins...Since it wasn't "sticky" snow we had to do it that way...
Well you KNOW Luke had to lick it!
Just some fun shots to stock my portfolio! Love the one below it looks like clouds to me.

Ever wonder what it's like living in a Snowglobe?

The kids loved it though they were mad that it wasn't sticky so they could make a snowman...
Luke was mad his bike was out in the garage he tried to haul it up the stairs crying, kicking screaming... I finally got in and put it in the basement! me shoveling about 18 inches of the white stuff...

I love both of these pictures above and below... so pretty!
