The Big News is......

To: ADAM N. SHEPHERD

This message provides you with your Match result for Phase II of the Postdoctoral Dental Matching Program for residency positions beginning in 2009.

Congratulations! You have been matched to:

Institution: CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL OF BUFFALO/SUNY

So we will be staying here in Buffalo for 2 more years! I am kinda sad cause it is 20 below and Dallas was looking good, but I am excited because we know that the schools here are good for Allie next year and we don't have to move far, (we will get into a new house) we know the area, the ward, and we have friends here... These are all good things, Adam is loved by the assistance down at the hospital, and we know the other residents, They are actually All from Adam's class which is Crazy!
So YEAH! We matched, we are planned out for the next 2 years...Life is good!

First, CONGRATS ADAM! And what a relief to know where you are going to be! Second, DANG! I was hoping it would be somewhere in SLC! Glad you don't have to move too far!

Congratulations!! That is so exciting for you guys and such a relief I'm sure. A house will be wonderful, just make sure it is still in the ward!

YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Chantel, I am so happy you matched! What an awesome feeling! (You would especially appreciate this if you spent a year of not matching, you know...) Congrats to both of you. What fantastic news!

Congrats Adam! You are going to be an awesome Pedodontist! I honestly can say that I KNOW that! Chantel, I feel bad that you are a little disappointed...I know the weather sucks right not (we are -25F with the wind chill right now) but I always say there is a reason for everything! I did not want to move to Nova Scotia but now I LOVE it and will be really sad when I leave. I know now why we were meant to be here, there are several reasons. I'm sure you are in Buffalo for a reason! And bonus, you get a new house??? Lucky!

Wow... So very awesome, I'm sure that you are so glad to found out finally. I'm personally sad that you didn't make to Utah, but at least you are familiar with the school and you won't have to move to far! I am so proud of you Adam, you are such an example to me in my life.. I love you all ! Congrats!!!!

Congratulations!! That is fabulous news!! I think it is nice to stay put. I am glad you are familiar with the schools.
Been having contractions these last couple of days. Baby is due on the 5th. Hopefully he will make his debut this week. I am feeling good though. My e-mail address is jasonandshar@gmail.com.
Totally hear you on the cold weather. We have a dry cold though--but lots of negative temps. The farmers almanac says that our area is supposed to have one of the wettest and coldest Feburarys in history. We will see how accurate that prediction is. It is exciting though.
